En el marco de inicio del nuevo año escolar, el Ministerio de Educación entregó los resultados de la Subvención Nacional por Desempeño de Excelencia (SNED), la comuna de Coltauco obtuvo 9 adjudicaciones de un total de 13 establecimientos educacionales municipales, un logro más que significativo y que demuestra el excelente trabajo que realizan cientos de profesores y asistentes de la educación en la comuna.
El Sistema Nacional de Evaluación de Desempeño de Excelencia materializa este reconocimiento en un beneficio económico entregado a profesores y asistentes de la educación de los establecimientos reconocidos en Coltauco, lo cuales fueron las Escuelas Julio Montt Salamanca G-37, Lucila Godoy Alcayaga G-73, Josefina Vial de Vial G-75, Subtte. Luis Cruz Martínez F-77, Rinconada de Idahue G-79, Capitán Ignacio Carrera Pinto G-80, Nuestra Señora de Loreto F-82, Colegio Quillayquén F-83 y Osvaldo Ruiz García F-84.
